If you are familiar with Texas, especially West Texas and enjoy paranormal fantasy this is a must read. The main character is pure Texan and clearly shows how being a wizard doesn't conflict with his Christian beliefs. Strong characters and a strong fast moving plot made it very enjoyable. The only negative is saw is a need for some proof reading to catch the homonym mistakes like buy/by.

Great book, a combination of a wounded vet trying to fit in back home in west Texas he finds himself fighting the same people as in Afghanistan and Iraq. Muslim fundamentalists trying to smeak a nuclear weapon into the USA to blow up a city.
A good story needing lots of editing.
I grew up in this beautiful country, and thoroughly enjoyed the storyline. There were many typos toward the end, which was very distracting while trying to follow the excitement. Would have given 5 if not for that.
As a home grown Texas boy and lifetime Texas Ex I gotta tell you I enjoyed this mucho. In the vein of Joe R Lansdale's Bubba Ho Tep grab a seat, laugh, cry, and drink a beer as you read this book. I hope to read more soon.
Fun read. Bit fluffy, and not that serious. Reminds me of John Van Stry. Some typos and the book tried too hard, but it is what it is. A good read worth the price that has a positive message.
I liked this book. It has everything a guy needs, all in one place. A Demon an Angel , GOD and the Devil , Two Beautiful women and Plenty of love for good `Ol Boys AND Texas ! Did I mention a nuclear weapon and magic ?
